Please understand every dancer at ECPA has to attend Dress rehearsal in order to perform at the recital. This helps each dancer and parent understand the order and structure of the each show.
Listed Below is your “BE THERE TIME” in order for your special dancer/s to practice on stage. This will also be when group photos are taken. We do have to stay on schedule and sometimes we do run ahead. Please be sure you are “on time.”
Dancers will need to be at the auditorium, ready to dance with hair and make-up complete 30min prior to their “be there time.” We can run early and we want to be sure each child is there to practice and take their photos with the class. (If your child needs to warm up or practice before going onto the stage for dress rehearsal or recital, please plan ahead for this important weekend. If your child is rushed or late, this may cause them to be frazzled on stage and unable to perform at their best).
Hair and make-up instructions will be given to you by their teacher at the end of April.
Please be sure you have all costumes well taken care of with all accessories. Also, please be sure to check early if your dancer will need special tights or shoes for their performance. Your child’s instructor and Ms. Lisa will have all this information for you. Please call or ask ahead of time. Thank you
Before or after your child practices at the dress rehearsal, try and get individual photos taken in our “Holding Room,” with Hansen Fine Portraits. He has many packages to choose from. Please bring a form of payment to pay for the photography. Thank you.
Each child will receive a “special award,” given to them by the teachers and the director before leaving dress rehearsal. Please be sure to see the director before leaving.
If you have any further questions regarding dress rehearsal or the recital please, contact the studio before our recital events. Thank you.
Please remember to bring cash at dress rehearsal and recital for concessions, apparel, special gifts & awards to be purchased. We will also have a 50/50 cash raffle and many more gift baskets to give away for our raffles. There will be lots to win during our intermissions at our Recital Shows. We hope you can join in on all the fun!
We will also have Dance–A-Grams available for purchase with Ms. Lisa by May 1st. This includes: A Hand written note by the person purchasing, a balloon, a small plush doll & a piece of candy. This is a special gesture given to your special dancer on such an exciting weekend for them. This can be a small note from a friend, parent, family member who wants to wish them luck and send them love. A special memory that touches their heart making them feel extra special. These can be picked up on dress rehearsal day. We can also deliver them to the dancers at dress rehearsal or the day of the show with enough notice. Dance-A-Grams can be purchased for $5.
Recitals:
Each dancer MUST be in the “Holding Room,” dressed and ready to perform 10 numbers before they are on stage. The “Holding Room,” will be supervised by our staff. In the "holding room," there will be a monitor for the children to watch the show, along with color sheets and crayons. You can pick your dancer up in the holding room after they are done performing, or they can be picked up after the Finale Bow & Award ceremony closing Recital Shows.
If the dancer wants to watch the show in the auditorium, then the child/dancer MUST have an assigned seat purchased by the parent. They are not allowed to sit on the parents lap unless their head is lower than the parent. Disrupting other audience members or blocking the view of other dance families is prohibited.
Recording on any personal devices is prohibited. There will be a videographer at both recitals and you will be welcome to purchase these special memories to take home. If seen recording, you will be asked to leave the auditorium.
Finale Bow: Each dancer is welcome to be part of the Finale Bow. If interested, please have your dancer back into the holding room 5 dances before the last performance. We will be lining up the students for the final bow. After the award ceremony you will be welcome to come up on stage for pictures and to meet with your child.
Special NOTE: Audience members will not be allowed to exit & enter through doors while dancers are performing on stage. This rule is to respect the performers and to be courteous of other audience members who have also paid for the shows. We make this rule to help teach our children theater etiquette and we hope our parents understand it is best if we lead by example. Please refrain from pushing others through doors or being upset with our volunteers and security helpers. Thank you.
Please be “On Time” for the recital shows. There can be a wait at the front door and it is always best to get there early. Cash raffles will be held at Intermissions. Many other items and concessions will be sold at our event. We will not have credit card machines, so we do ask to please bring CASH for any purchases for this event. Thank you.
